Shruthi Nair

Currently a Bharathanatyam (Indian Classical Dance) company dancer with Bhaskar’s Arts Company and freelance dance artiste, I have been dancing for 19 years since I was 5, and have staged over 100 dance performances at various events. What started with an interest and education in Bharathanatyam, has transformed into a love and passion for Dance in totality as I explored and gained formal training in other genres such as Classical Ballet and Contemporary at the School of The Arts, Singapore. As someone who believes in the all-rounded educational potential of the Arts, I make sure to invest time into choreographic projects and training, and hope to give back to Singapore’s Arts and Dance landscapes while growing as a Dancer and Artiste.

Apart from being a dance aficionado, I am a logophile, a self-proclaimed tea connoisseur, and overall all-things-art enthusiast. I have always been enthralled with anything and everything dance, theatre, music and visual arts. While I enjoy creating and choreographing across a few dance genres, I also enjoy making bakes laced with too much alcohol and chasing sunsets.
