Hi! I'm Shivani Desai and I'm an actor and model. I'm a self-directed performer with 14 years of exposure to the performing arts, working experience in the entertainment industry, a commitment to continuous craft development, strong work ethic, willingness to accept direction, and an unrelenting desire to entertain. Having grown up watching Bollywood cinema, I soon discovered at age 16 that I wanted to be an actor. I have relentlessly pursued the unconventional path of making art for a living ever since.

All my practical acting experience is backed by a solid and continuous education in theatre and film. My foundational training in this field consists of my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies from the National University of Singapore as well as the completion of the Acting for the Screen course at MetFilm School London. More recently, I have undertaken acting workshops with Anupam Kher's Actor Prepares, The Casting Director's Cut LA, Jeff Goldberg Studio, Dafney Productions, and Thespo Theatre India.
To me, film and theatre signify the desire to affect change, an open mind, and an unwavering commitment to the process. Apart from acting, I also enjoy self-portrait photography, cooking and baking, and acrylic painting.
