Data Deletion Instructions – Shuffle Connect

Last updated: 23 Oct 2025

Your privacy matters to us. This page explains how you can delete your Shuffle Connect account and personal data, including if you signed in with Facebook Login.

What gets deleted

When you request deletion, we remove or anonymize:

  • Your profile (name, photo, bio, portfolio, social links)

  • Service listings, saves, likes, follows

  • Messages and chat history (disassociated from your identity or purged, depending on legal/operational needs)

  • Device, cookie and usage data tied to your account

What we may retain (limited & required)

We may keep a minimal subset of data when necessary to:

  • Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations (e.g., invoices, transaction records, anti-fraud logs)

  • Resolve disputes or chargebacks and enforce our Terms

  • Comply with law enforcement requests

    Retention is time-limited and access-restricted.

Before you request deletion

  • Open transactions or disputes: If you have an active booking, milestone, payout, or dispute, we’ll complete or cancel it first.

  • This is permanent: Deletion cannot be undone and you’ll lose access to your account, projects, and messages.

  • Team/workspace data: Content that others still rely on (e.g., reviews you left, transaction meta needed for invoices) may remain in anonymized form.

How to delete your data

Option A — Self-service (fastest)

  1. Log in to Shuffle Connect.

  2. Go to Profile → Settings → Privacy & Security → Delete Account.

  3. Follow the on-screen confirmation steps.

We will queue your data for deletion/anonymization. Most actions are instant; full backend scrubs complete within 7 days (up to 30 days for backups/logs).

Option B — Facebook Login users (Meta requirement)

If you used Facebook Login and prefer to request deletion here:

  1. Email hello@theshufflecollective.co with the subject “Facebook Login Data Deletion”.

  2. Include your full name and (if possible) the Facebook email/ID associated with your Shuffle Connect account.

We will verify your identity and delete your data within 7 days of verification.

Option C — Email request (any user)

Email hello@theshufflecollective.co with the subject “Account Deletion Request” and provide:

  • Full name

  • Account email

  • Country of residence

  • Optional: reason for deletion (helps us improve)

Identity verification: For your security, we may ask you to confirm via the signed-in email or perform an additional verification step.

Timelines

  • Account lockout: immediately after confirmation

  • Core deletion/anonymization: within 7 days

  • Backups & system logs: within 30 days (rolling purge)

  • Payment records: retained only as required by law (typically 5–7 years, jurisdiction-dependent)

Third-party services

We use reputable providers for infrastructure, analytics, and payment processing. When you delete your account with us, we instruct our processors to delete or anonymize your data in line with our contracts and applicable law. Some financial data must be retained by the payment processor to meet legal and anti-fraud obligations.

Deletion during disputes, chargebacks, or investigations

If your account is involved in a current investigation, chargeback, or legal request, we will pause deletion until resolution, then proceed immediately.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., Singapore PDPAGDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
